In 1988, two of wrestling's most powerful territories — Jerry Jarrett's Continental Wrestling Association (CWA) in Memphis and the Von Erich family's World Class Championship Wrestling (WCCW) in Dallas — merged to form the United States Wrestling Association (USWA). It was supposed to be the ultimate survival strategy against Vince McMahon's WWF machine. Instead, it became one of wrestling's most tragic failures.
This documentary explores how the merger happened, why two proud territories thought joining forces could save them, the backstage politics that tore the alliance apart, and the heartbreaking end that left both cities without their beloved wrestling promotions.
